What is our ethos?

As a national charity focused on supporting educational opportunities for students from refugee backgrounds, we understand that this is a collective endeavour that starts and ends with community.

Our operating principles

  • REA will have at least 50% lived experience of forced migration on the Advisory Board.
  • REA will prioritise the lived experience (of refugees, young people, mature age learners, all types of education) in decision-making.
  • REA will work collaboratively with refugee community groups to amplify our messages.
